Community Pharmacy Wales (CPW) is the recognised body which represents all 716 community pharmacies in Wales in respect of all matter relating to the delivery of NHS community pharmacy services.  It is the only organisation that represents every community pharmacy in Wales. It works with Government and its agencies, such as local Health Boards, to help protect and develop high quality community pharmacy services and to shape the NHS community pharmacy contract and its associated regulations in order to achieve the highest standards of public health and the best possible patient outcomes.
About the Role:

This is a true administrator role supporting a small but influential and experienced team of professionals that make up the community pharmacy negotiating body for Wales based community pharmacy contractors. Reporting to the Director of Contractor Services  you will provide a high quality administrative support service  the full CPW executive  team, alongside specific administration and project work on behalf of the Contractor Services team.

You will be responsible for:

Servicing the CPW Board and its committees, working groups/internal meetings, drafting agendas and minutes, managing correspondence, undertaking minor research activities and supporting the executive team in the performance of their important responsibilities.  You will be the “go to” person for the executive team and will be responsible for its smooth working in conjunction with the Administration and Communications Manager. In this role you will have the opportunity to become involved in CPW events and external communications including newsletter production and helping maintain the CPW website as part of wider-ranging administrative support services to the Contractors Services Team.

About You:

This is a busy and varied role and to be considered you must have previous PA, team support and/or office management and administration experience. Previous involvement in organising formal meetings and events would be an advantage. Applications from those with a wide range of educational backgrounds are welcomed; however it is more important that you are a confident individual, organised and calm under pressure and able to work from your own initiative. Equally important is the capacity to build positive working relationships with all CPW stakeholders and colleagues (including representatives within the NHS and Welsh Government) an organised and detail-conscious approach, effective written and oral communication abilities and the ability to prioritise competing demands. Well-developed office IT skills ie. MS Office and website development, are also pre-requisites for this role.
