Accreditation process for Enhanced Services in Wales from April 2018

Following discussions between WCPPE, LHBs, WG alongside CPW there are proposals to significantly change and simplify the accreditation and re-accreditation process for enhanced services from April 2018 onwards, removing the need for face to face training and fees for assessments, as well as reducing duplication.

LHBs and WCPPE will be holding engagement events with pharmacists and registered technicians in relation to the new process in the first couple of weeks in September, where more information in relation to the new process will be shared.

A pilot phase of the new process will run from October 2017, pharmacists and technicians who are interested in being included in the pilot are asked to complete their details on the following link https://cardiff.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/nesa-pilot

WCPPE are currently developing an information video to explain the upcoming changes and this will be circulated once available.
