Declaration on CG toolkit

Quality Scheme – Clinical Governance Toolkit Declaration
Contractors will be aware that the IG and CG toolkits are now open and that 3 questions have been added to the Clinical Governance toolkit in relation to the Quality Scheme.
These questions will form the declaration by contractors that they have completed the following requirements of the Quality Scheme:
  1. Completion of the Improving Quality Together package on WCPPE
  2. Completion of the community pharmacy Safety Attitudes Survey
  3. Verification of the information on the All Wales Pharmacy Database*
Community Pharmacy Wales have been made aware that some pharmacies have already completed and submitted the toolkit but have answered “no” to these questions as they have not yet completed this work.
Contractors who submit the toolkit having answered “no” to these questions are likely to receive contact from Shared Services on behalf of the Health Boards early in the next financial year in respect of Post Payment Verification of the Quality Scheme.
Contractors are therefore advised to delay submission of the CG toolkit until they have completed the requirements of the Quality Scheme.
Contractors who have already submitted the toolkit and now wish to delay submission are advised to log a call with the Primary Care Service Desk (0333 200 8048 or by emailing and request to re-open their Clinical Governance toolkit as it was submitted in error and needs to be reviewed.
*Verification of the All Wales Pharmacy Database: Shared Services have advised CPW that they are currently experiencing firewall and security issues with opening up access to the AWPD for pharmacy contractors, but they are aware of the tight deadlines associated with this piece of work and are looking to resolve the issue as soon as they can. Contractors will receive communication from both Shared Services and CPW once this issue has been resolved.
