CPW NEWS – Important information for Pharmacies – Updated 18/03/20

Following discussions with Welsh Government, CPW has negotiated a wide range of measures to including the relaxation of contract and monitoring requirements to reduce pressure on community pharmacy teams.
The measures agreed can be found here. 
Owing to the risks associated with undertaking clinical examination of the throat with COVID 19 circulating in the community, the Sore Throat Test and Treat service has been suspended as of 18 March 2020, and will not be visible in the Choose Pharmacy system from this date. All pharmacies will revert to the original CAS functionality, which will include symptomatic treatment for sore throat (if needed).
